Phil has spent more than fourteen years on and around Lake Austin: fishing it, boating it, paddling it, and watching how it changes from season to season. He knows where the hydrilla shows up first each spring, how it behaves in a dry summer, and what it does to a dock, a swim area or a boat that has to push through it.
